Athletes need to wear ALL BLACK (tank top, sports bra, or t-shirt, with shorts, or leggings) to tryouts. A light athletic shoe that will support the ankle if athletes don't have cheer shoes.
Hair should be pulled back off the face into a ponytail. A cheer bow is optional.
We recommend athletes bring water/Gatorade to stay hydrated.
If you cannot make it on the prescribed tryout day, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a private or video tryout. Tryout fees still apply.
Tryout fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Tryouts will be closed to spectators.
Tryouts will be based on skills assessment. We will evaluate athletes throughout the learning process and make initial group placements based on what we see at tryouts and what we know of athletes’ prior cheer performance. Initial tryout placement is NOT final. Athletes may be moved to other teams throughout the year at the discretion of the coaches & directors.
We will notify parents of preliminary group level placement of their athlete the day of tryouts. Please note that the preliminary level assignment is not a final team placement for the season. Athletes can be moved at any point due to group needs, skills lost/mastered and stunt role (e.g. back-spotter or flyer) of the athlete.
